Ever since I can remember, I have always been a huge music fan, not so much of particular musical styles or genres, but of good songs. More than anything, the love of songs has been the driving force in my recording and mixing career. I feel that to be successful as an engineer and mixer, you need to have the widest range of experiences possible, both on a technical and musical level.
Over the past twenty-seven years I have been very lucky to work with a diverse group of artists and musical styles ranging from George Clinton and Jello Biafra to 2pac and the Hieroglyphics. Working on such a wide range of styles and songs has provided me an invaluable range of studio experiences including a deep understanding of both analog and digital recording technology and techniques, as well as a broad understanding of studio psychology and how it relates to music production.
